when someone brings up something embarrassing you did years ago:
So I feel inclined to expand a little more on Ohno seeing as I made one side of my uchiwa for him. I’ve always wanted to be fished out of the crowd by him, and what better way then making a fish uchiwa?
While he was passing by on one of those personal carts pushed by people through the crowd, he caught sight of my uchiwa and I nearly DIED because he paused and looked at for like 4 seconds, and I know 4 seconds doesn’t sound long, but count to four out loud right now and imagine Ohno looking at something *YOU* made while doing so. And the fact he LOOKED AT IT FOR THAT LONG HOLY CRAP. And he leaned forward to get a better look!
He didn’t fish out anyone that day from what I could tell, but I’m just so happy he saw the fan and I couldn’t really understand his expression because it looked like he was trying to remember something while looking at it. haha~ but I am all kinds of proud that I not only got his attention but distracted him enough to make him pause and lean over the rail a bit to look at it. Now I might as well just have been a floating hand holding the uchiwa up for all the eye contact he made with me (I’ll give you a hint: not at all), but something about him just looking at my simple art made the experience just as if not more special then him just waving at me in the crowd.
Day made? Yes.
when you’re tired and people force you to do something for them
P.S. he was wearing that ring at hawaii concert too. :)
(the earliest i’ve seen that ring was since HYD!)
aiba: ohno was fast today

nino: well then from now on, please cont with two walls. onegaishimasu!
My older cat got sick of my kitten trying to play with him so he pinned him down and licked him until he fell asleep

Rough Trans of Riida’s Words of Thanks during the Hawaii Concert
"I truly want to thank everyone, I was really emotional after we got on the helicopter and it soared into the skies, now I don’t know how to react any more. When we arrived in Hawaii the previous night, I stood on the balcony alone & reminisce about what happened 15 years ago. I have mostly forgotten about what happened that day, but I can still recall feeling confused and worried about the whole situation. But ….. (Ohno’s voice cracks & he eventually breaks down crying, the audience calls out his name and he puts his hands together in prayer position & gestures an apology while silently crying) ……..after 15 years, the confusion & worrisome feelings are all gone……thanks to my members, the staff, the managers and most importantly you the fans who have supported us these past 15 years. Moving on to year number 16, please continue to travel this journey with us. Once again thank you all so much for today."
